  • Proof read before sending
  • Be sure SUBJECT field accurately reflects the content
  • Never REPLY TO or FORWARD spam - just delete
  • Do not type in all CAPS (it's considered yelling)
  • Use standard spelling, punctuation and capitalization
  • Always 'bcc" when emailing a large group of people

  • A good chair to support your upper and lower back 
  • Working surface at elbow height
    Arm and wrist height 90 degrees 
  • Knees level or slightly lower than your hips

  • Back up important data files
  • Unplug computer, printer, monitor and any other device from the wall outlet
  • After the storm, before plugging in computer,make sure electrical power is stable

  • Store all photos in one place (ex: Pictures folder)
  • Start with large categories, then break them down to smaller, more manageable ones
  • Decide how you want to sort your photos (ex: by date, location,   people or content)

  • Delete duplicates 
  • When finished, backup photos to a flash drive or CD

  • Use Search strings basic operators such as:  AND  OR  Ex. Happy and Joy will return results for happy and joy. Happy or Joy will return results with either happy or joy
  • Anytime you are looking for a specific phrase, type the phrase inside the quotes. Ex. “climate change”
  • Experiment with different search engines, because different engines return different results. Ex. Google, DuckDuckGo, Ask, Yahoo, 
  • Be more specific. Instead of searching for “coffee”, try “roasted coffee made in the USA”
